Two Hindi words ‘CHALE CHALO’ meaning ‘Let’s Move Forward’ is a Grassroots Development Organization with a Professional Commitment. Established and registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 on April 21, 2005, CHALE CHALO has been working closely on various developmental issues in Odisha, where many communities face extreme poverty and are affected by disasters, inequality, unsustainable development practices, poor governance, and environmental degradation—issues that threaten human survival and development.
Since its inception, CHALE CHALO has been committed to working closely with local communities to promote inclusive, equitable, just, and sustainable development. The individuals involved with CHALE CHALO primarily come with a strong background in social initiatives, dedicated to bringing positive change. Our organization is guided by core principles that include self-regulation, democratic functioning, non-violence, equality, and equal opportunity.
We emphasize respect for human values, dignity, and human rights. Additionally, we are committed to nature, caring, sharing, transparency, accountability, ensuring responsiveness and effectiveness in functioning, and the adoption of best practices in all our work.
